Valentine’s Day Card for your Sweetheart

I put together this sweet and easy Valentine’s Day Card using this sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

The heart and flowers are die cuts using the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits.  The heart and the pattern paper are the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack from the new Stampin’ Up Occasions catalog.

A cute little bow is tied with Whisper White baker’s twine.  A touch of clear Wink of Stella and some pearls highlight the flowers on the heart.

I loved this sketch and the card was so simple to put together.  I’m sure your sweetheart will love it too.

RemARKable Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop: Out With the Old, In With the New!

Happy Holidays!  I hope that you have been able to relax and enjoy the holidays.  I spent some time with my family and am so excited at all the great things I have planned to share with you next year.  Check back later this week-end for more information on my Sale-A-Bration specials!

Sale-A-Bration starts next week and have the folks at Stampin’ Up outdone themselves this time.  The new Occasions catalog is awesome and the Sale-A-Bration products are incredible.  You won’t be able to pick just one!!

The stamp set — Oh So Succulent — is one that I received when I attended the Stampin’ Up Onstage local event in Kansas City.  It was a fantastic day and is one of the incredible benefits of being a demonstrator.   The next one is in April and I would highly recommend it.   Let me know if you’re interested —  I would love for you to go with me!

I have to confess that this stamp set is not one that I would have picked for myself.  It seemed pretty utilitarian but, as always, the ink and paper really did their magic!  It will be put to good use in the next few months for all kinds of other projects.

Paired with the Your So Lovely stamp set from the annual catalog, the plants are three shades of green — Old Olive, Mint Macaron and Wild Wasabi.  The flowers and the cardstock are Calypso Coral.    The Playful Palette DSP works  perfectly with it all!  I inked the edges with black ink to add a little dimension.  The stamp set is bundled with thinlits but I chose to fussy cut the different shapes.  It’s therapeutic for me!

I loved the way this card turned out and hope you do too!  The Oh So Succulent stamp set goes on sale January 4, 2017 when the new Occasions catalog is released and Sale-A-Bration starts.

The next  stop is Jen Tribue.  Thanks for visiting and don’t forget to come back later this week-end.  I’ll be adding information on all the great events I will be offering in the new year!

Pretty Pink Paisleys

Welcome to another month of great ideas from some of us working our way to Alaska!  Although it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, we wanted to bring you some other ideas for all those great products you have or are wishing Santa will bring you for Christmas!

Enter Paisleys and Posies dressed up in Melon Mambo and Basic Black!  This is a fun set that has so many possibilities — between the stamps and the thinlits, you can cook up a whole bunch of great projects.

I fussy cut the smaller paisley after I stamped it in Melon Mambo and then used Stampin’ dimensionals to give it that little pop when I attached it to the larger paisley stamped in black.

For the background, I used the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper (on sale this month!  Yay!!!) and added some coordinating washi tape.  The greeting is from the Baby Bear stamp set.  I separated the thick baker’s twine into 3 strands and then used one strand each from the Whisper White and Melon Mambo to wrap around the greeting.

I had a great time creating this card!  Thanks for stopping by and click here to go to Raquelle Clifton’s creation.

Flourishing Phrases Thank You Card

Another month of great projects from the fabulous Stampin’ Up demonstrators earning their way to Alaska.  This thank you card done in rich razzleberry will be perfect for this fall!

The flower motif and greeting are from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set.  The  Paisleys and Posies specialty designer series paper served as color inspiration for the card.  I heat embossed the flower motif in copper then colored the flower petals in rich razzleberry.

You can’t tell so much in the photo but I used the fine tip glue pen to fill the flower petals.  After it dries, it gives the flowers the look of beautiful enamel.

I hope you enjoyed my card!  The rest of the players are listed below!  Have a fabulous day!

Alaska Blog Hop: Gingerbread Love

Welcome aboard the Alaska Blog Hop — a monthly extravaganza of Stampin’ Up peeps working their way toward a fabulous cruise to Alaska!

I had this fantastical post written for you to enjoy and then realized I had mixed up two different projects!  Yikes! On to gingerbread and hearts!!

I have been on a wall art kick lately and came across this frame gathering dust in the basement.  My kids think I have way too many picture frames.  Little do they know that there is some part of my brain always thinking of ways to use all those frames!

Anyhow, I digress.  The frame is for an 8×10 project — a little bigger than I normally use.  I wanted to use the cookie cutter builder punch (who wouldn’t — it is just so stinking cute!)   But I wasn’t sure how to fill all that space.  The hearts just seemed a natural match for these snazzy little gingerbread men with their colorful bowties and Santa!

To add a little texture, I embossed the hearts.  And that gorgeous designer series paper looks as good on this project as it would used on a card or as gift wrap

Santa and his gingerbread buddies spread some holiday love!

I loved the way this turned out and can’t wait to figure who I give it to for Christmas.  Hopefully they will act surprised if they already saw it here!

You may continue on your voyage to the next project by clicking one of the names below. Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by.  Hope to see you again next month!

Ultimate Pink Blog Hop

Welcome to the first ever Ultimate Pink Blog Hop – a collection of ideas from Stampin’ UP! demonstrators all over the globe featuring shades of pink in honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  I am so excited to be able to participate in this awesome event with so many other talented stampers!

We all know people who have dealt with breast cancer.  Each — in their own way — have dealt with personal hardships and triumphs.  In the honor of these brave individuals, I have crafted my card to celebrate a pink Christmas.

Putting a twist on tradition, I used Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise.  This vintage color combination (think pink flamingos and turquoise blue ocean water) makes for a fresh and fun card.  Let’s all dream of a pink Christmas!

I am excited you stopped by.  Whether you’ve come from the person before or after me (Sherri Price), everyone joining in is below to help you easily find to more PINKSPIRATION!  Enjoy!
